Biogerance, for an establishment or an institution of the health field , consists of, handing in partially or totally the management of its medical devices pool (appliances for the medical or para-medical field) to an external service provider.
In accordance with the establishment action plan, the following aspects will be managed :

Biogerance is not a simple externalisation of biomedical services, as it also implies a responsability transfer that can include
The equipment interservices or interoperators collaborative software development
- The equipment pool status expertise, audit and consulting, regarding its aging and conformity to the current instructions and regulations,
- Health and technical risk management,
- The different maintenance management : preventive, curative and predictive
- Statutory quality control management,
- Internal biomedical functions piloting process,
- Project management including optimization of devices, good use and organisation,
- Medical devices end of life management (deconstruction, technological waste processing and sorting…),
- Hospital bedside service dematerialisation, i.e. permanent or temporary use of external devices, put at their disposal if needed in order to provide technical platform continuity,
- Ongoing cost evaluation of equipment pool ownership,
- Practitioner consulting and informing regarding technical improvement,
- Accessories and Disposables management and consulting (cables, transducers, …),
- The keep-up of practitioners good use standards
- Follow up and external audit allowing service or medical unit quality certification
